This is a light green glitter but the picture makes it look like a silver glitter. In real life the color is exactly like the picture on the color club website. I don't know how I feel about this color, it's kind of boring and I am a huge fan of glitter. Oh, maybe I could use this over a mint green or a light green cream? What do you think?

CVS Haul

Hey everyone! I am sorry my posts have been so infrequent. By the time I am off work, the sunlight is gone and I am not able to take good pictures. But any who, I did some couponing (shopping is now called couponing because I am trying extra hard not to purchase anything that I do not have a coupon for!) at CVS the other day and here is what I picked up.

I picked up the Schick Quattro Trim Style because it was on sale for $8, I had a $3 off coupon and I also got $3 in extra bucks! And I also picked up the new mascara from Physicians Formula, the organic wear Lash Boosting Mascara.

I got the Toms of Maine Fresh Apricot Deodorant for $3.99 with $3 bucks back. I really like the scent, but this deodorant takes some getting used to.

Lastly I picked up a few bottles of polish. I got 2 holiday color icon glitters in It's All in the Cut and Diamond in the Rough.

I was excited to see that my CVS had the Spoiled collection fully stocked, however when I had a closer look at the colors, they looked extremely similar to some Sinful Colors shades that I have. So i only picked up a few colors. I got My Button Fell Off, Club Rat, Shrimp on the Barbie, Are Mermaids Real?, and Trust Fund baby.

I almost forgot, I picked up a Green Bag Tag to put on my reusable bag when I shop at CVS. You can earn $1 buck back with every 4th scan of the tag. I hope you are all using reusable bags when shopping, the Earth will thank you! I keep this bag that my mom made in my purse for small shopping trips.

This was my first time couponing at CVS, I think I will try to purchase there more often, especially now that I know about the extra bucks you can get with certain purchases. Enjoy!

Today was Pajama Day at Work!

1. How many nail polishes do you have? -249, and I still want more! It's an addiction!

2. What is your favorite brand of nail polish? -I really like Color Club because it is an affordable cruelty free and vegan brand. I also love L.A. Colors which is also cruelty free and I just found out that the Color Craze line is vegan!!

3. Do you like crackle polish or do you hate it? -I am in the middle. I liked the black crackle for my Halloween mani but I recently tried the white crackle and silver crackle and i hated it! I think certain colors in the crackle looks better than others.

4. What was your first nail polish brand? -I think my first nail polish brand was Wet N Wild. I painted my nails blue and gold for a football game in high school. But I really wasn't into nail polish then, I only painted my feet because my hands chipped so fast.

5. If you are going to have a nail polish line, what are you going to name it? -I haven't really thought about having a nail polish line but if I did, I think I would name it Hott Stuff LOL.And it would definately be a cruelty free and vegan nail line.

6. What nail polish colors do not compliment you? -Blues and purples don't compliment my skintone.

7. What nail polish colors do compliment you? -Pinks, oranges, greens, reds, pretty much warm tones look best on me.

8. Name two of your best nail art friends. -Umm my friends don't really paint their own nails. They go to the salon and get fake nails. However I got my friend Amber into nail polish and painting her nails, now shes a regular polish-a-holic!

9. What was the best nail polish gift that you ever recieved? -A few Christmas' ago, my boyfriend got me about 50 bottles of CHI nail polish. He is the one who got my addiction started. Thanks babe!

1. What is your favorite nail polish company? -It is a tie between Color Club and L.A. Colors

2. Glitter or no Glitter? -I LOVE glitter polish and I love adding glitter to simple manicures as well.It adds a little zest.

3. OPI, China Glaze, or Essie? -Why just these brands? What about NYX, Sinful Colors, Color Club, and L.A. Colors? They are all great brands in their own way. I guess I would choose China Glaze out of the three. But I like Color Club better that these three brands.

4. When do you change your nail polish? -I change my polish when I get bored or when I see chips. But normally don't leave my polish on long enough for it to chip.

5. What's your favorite color on your nails? -I love different shades of pinks on my nails. It's my favorite color and I think it looks good on my skintone.

6. Darks or Brights? -Brights! The brighter the better!!

7. What are you wearing on your nails right this moment? -Color Club's Foil Me Once

8. Matte Nails--In or Out? -I don't like matte nails at all, so definitely out for me!

9. French Manicure? -Nope, too boring.

10. Favorite Winter Color? -I like to wear greens and golds in the winter. And now i am getting into wearing more reds, so I like reds for winter as well.

I think this manicure is so ugly! I used Color Club's Boho Mojo and I topped it with Wet N Wild's Party of 5 Glitters. Boho Mojo looks like a silver metallic with hints of brown; i really don't even know how to explain it, it's just ugly! So to try an make it look a little better, I topped it wit party of 5 glitters. I don't like this polish either. The glitter is so sparse, the brush barely even picks it up. I can't wait to do my nails over!! Have a good day!

Review: Bio Shave Razors

I picked up these Bio Shave Razors a while ago in a Big Lots haul for $2.50. I have been using them for about a month now along with my EOS Shave cream and I have to say that I am not in love. I like that they are cruelty free and recyclable, but compared to my Gillette Venus Embrace razor, the Bio Shave razor is really rough against my legs. I have to be really careful when I am shaving because I feel like I can nick myself at any time. With my Venus razor, I don't have to worry about nicks at all. The Bio Shave razor does give a close shave and leaves my legs smooth afterwards but I don't like the way it feels against my skin. Overall, I would not repurchase this product again. If you know of any cruelty free razors, please let me now!!

Review: EOS Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss

I purchased this EOS shave cream from Walgreens in Vanilla Bliss and Pomegranate Raspberry for 2/$7. I saw another blogger raving about it, and now I understand why! I use this to shave my legs and my underarms and this is the only shave cream that I have used that does not leave my skin itching. Before this I was using Aveeno Positively Smooth shave cream and Method Shave Cream both of which left my skin irritated and itchy. The formula of the EOS is thick and it feels like a lotion when applied to the skin and it also has a wonderful vanilla scent. You can use the shave cream wet or dry but I perfer to use it wet in the shower. I will definitely repurchase this product because it works well, it's budget friendly, it's vegan, and cruelty free.

Review: St. Ives Energizing Citrus Body Wash

I picked up this body wash a little while ago from Big Lots for $2.50. I began using it about a month ago and I am a little disappointed. When I smelled the body wash in the store it smelled like oranges with a hint of lemon, but when I use it in the shower, it has a really strong grapefruit scent which I do not like. The body wash does a great job of cleansing however the formula is really watery, so I end up using alot more product than normal to get a good lather. I do like that the body wash is vegan and cruelty free and it is also wallet friendly. I will not be repurchasing this scent but I am definitely willing to try any of the other St. Ives body wash scents. Have any of you tried the other St. Ives body wash scents? Let me know in the comments!!

Happy New Year! 2012 Goals and Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone!! Is setting new year goals and resolutions overrated? I don't think so! I think they are a reminder of things you want to accomplish, and things that you want to do better. I accomplished some of my 2011 new year goals but I still want to work on other goals and resolutions.

1. I would like to heavily limit my leisurely shopping. Money spent at Ross, Marshall's, and TJ Maxx can be used to take a fabulous trip to the beach or to see the Smithsonian Museums. I think I will treat myself every now and then, but weekly trips to these stores has to stop!!
2. Make more time for myself. Paint my nails more often, do facials and just have more relaxing moments.
3. Spend more time with my puppy. Take him on more walks and continue to give him lots of love.
4. Become a Vegan
5. Volunteer more
6. Blog more!!! I would like to thank all of my followers and everyone that has ever left a comment on my blog! I work a 40 hour a week job with 20 kids in my class, so i am always tired!! But I will definitely try to blog alot more than what I have been doing. I also would like to comment more on others' blogs and find more wonderful blogs to follow.

Favorite Cruelty Free Nail Care Products

I have been really into nail care and manicures using lots of pretty colors but doing my nails do often can wreak havoc on my cuticles. I try to keep my cuticles well moisturized but its hard to do so since I am constantly washing my hands at work. I have found a few products that work really well at keeping my nails and cuticles in good condition.

1. ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen - I purchased this pen from K-Mart for $1. I use this as a daily cuticle moisturizer, its not to oily and keeps my cuticles from looking dry.
2. L.A. Colors Nail Polish Remover Pads - I like these polish remover pads because they have a great smell and leave your nails really moisturized. I purchased these from the Dollar Tree. These work well with lighter colored nail polish and I also have to use one pad per nail.
3. Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme - This is the cuticle cream that I use after a full manicure.I purchased this from Marshall's.
4. Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme - This is an extremely thick hand butter. It's so that that I would never use it all over my hands because its very hard to spread. However, I use this cream on my nails and cuticles before I take blog pictures.
5. Burt's Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme - This is the lotion that I like to use all over my hands. It has a subtle smell and moisturizes very well.

These products are very budget friendly and work very well at keeping hands and nails looking great. So if you see any of these in stores pick them up, you can't go wrong!

Jewelry and Nail polish Haul

I picked up a few pieces of jewelry from the juniors department at Macy's. The prices of the jewelry that I picked up range from $3-$7, which is great bargain! Here is what I picked up.

I also picked up OPI nail polish from TJ Maxx. These colors are from the Serena Grand Slam collection. The colors are Pros and Bronze, Love is a Racket, Servin' Up Sparkle, and Grape Set Match.

I can't wait to style a few outfits with the jewelry that I picked up. I have a tri-pod to take my pictures with so hopefully I will put up outfit of the day posts soon. Enjoy!

I picked up this Revlon polish in a two pack at Big Lots. The name is Pink Again, and I topped it with a pink glitter in Sparked by Wet N Wild. Enjoy!

My favorite low priced cruelty free nail polish brand is L.A. Colors. They have a wide range of colors and are very affordable at $1. I usually pick up this brand at Dollar Tree but you can also find L.A. Colors at Dollar General and Family Dollar. I have never had a bad experience with L.A. Colors. The application is always smooth and ironically it does not chip fast as you would probably think.

My favorite cruelty free vegan nail polish brand is Color Club. I usually find this brand at Ross but you can also order online from various discount websites with prices ranging from $4-$8. I absolutely love that Color Club is vegan and I plan on adding more to my collection. So if you see either of these nail polish brands in stores, pick some up. You will not be disappointed!

Weekend Mini Haul

My boyfriend surprised me with a Lily Bloom purse. It's made of recycled plastic bottles. I love the print and I love eco friendly fashions!

I picked up a few things this weekend from Ross, Walmart, and Big Lots, St. Ives body wash, Burt's Bees Lip Balm, Tree Hut Body Butter and the Beyond the Mistletoe collection from color club.

Color Club and Cosmetic Arts Polish Haul

I went to Ross a few weeks ago and found two new collections from Color Club. I found the Back to Boho Dark and Light Collection.

And I found the Foiled Collection.

I also found a few Cosmetic Arts polishes at Ross as well.

I went into Rue 21 and I found Color Club Shatter polishes for only $3.99!I picked up the white and silver shatter. I also picked up the Night Glow glow in the dark polish from Wet N Wild.

Oh and I just found out that Color Club and Cosmetic Arts uses a vegan formula for their polish!! I am so excited, I am definitely going to pick up more Color Club and Cosmetic Arts polishes!
I am very excited about the new nail collections that Wet N Wild is coming out with as well as color club. What polishes have you picked up lately? Any color recommendations? Enjoy!

Halloween is probably the only time that I would ever wear such dark polish. The darkest I would normally ever wear is a dark purple or blue. This polish was given to me by a friend at work. L.A. Colors - Party Pink

I am so so so so sorry for the lack of blog posts, but I am just so tired all the time from work. I go to the gym every morning at 5am and workout for an hour, then I go to work at 8am and work until 5:30pm, i come home and make dinner, play with my dog, take a shower, and hit the bed. I don't have time for anything during the week and on the weekends I just lay around and do nothing!

Here is Party Pink by L.A. Colors. I think its a pretty color but it looks similar to pinks that I already have. But the formula was very smooth and two coats was enough to make it opaque. Enjoy!

This is the best color and scent in the Wicked Sweet Collection. I love this color and especially the raspberry fruity scent! The color is a berry pink and it looks great in the sunlight. Favorite Cruelty Free Body Splash

I was given the Pink With A Splash Sweet and Flirty All Over Body Mist by my friend at work and I looooooove this body splash. It has a floral smell that's not too strong or over powering. I spray this on before work and it lasts about 3-4 hours, which is good because we take the kids outside to play. You can purchase this body splash from Victoria's Secret and I think Bath and Body Works.

My First OPI Nail Polishes!

I picked up my first OPI nail polishes this weekend in Black Shatter and Gold Shatter. I am excited to finally have shatter nail polishes but I am not too excited about the price. I picked them up from my local beauty supply store for $8.99, which is alot for me for nail polish. I love my $2.99 and under polishes! But I will see how I like the OPI brand. I may pick up more eventually but for now, two is enough!

Favorite Cruelty Free Body Wash and Body Butter

One of my favorite body washes is the Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating Body Wash. I found this at Marshall's. I don't see Giovanni Products there often but when I do I am sure to pick them up. I love the way this body wash smells, just like tea tree oil, a nice clean smell. I work with children and I feel like it really cleanses and kills all those little kid germs that I pick up and bring home. I purchased this huge 33 ounce bottle for only $12.99.

The Giovanni products are hit or miss at Marshall's and TJ Maxx so another favorite body wash and body butter is the E.L.F Vanilla Coconut Soothing Bath Gel and Conditioning Body Butter.

The smell is amazing, smells just like vanilla with a hint of coconut. The body wash cleanses well and rinses clean. The body butter has a wonderful long lasting scent and is very thick and moisturizing. I like to use the body butter at night before bed. The body is a little too thick for the daytime in this Georgia heat but it is fine for night and it makes the sheets smell good. I usually pick up E.L.F. bath products from Ross but you can always order them online. Enjoy!

This blog challenge took me waaaaaaaaay longer than 30 days, more like 4 months! But I am finally on the last post, my favorite nail polish. My current favorite nail polish is Waves of Enchantment by Wet N Wild. I would describe it as a golden pinkish peach with glitter. Its such a pretty color and I think it would look great on any skin tone. This was a limited edition color so if you can find it in your drugstores, you should definitely pick it up!

I decided to use Dream On by Sinful Colors. This is my first time using this color and I am disappointed... It's a beautiful color but it's a matte finish and I do not like matte finishes. But I used NYC's Grand Central Station and it made Dream On nice and glossy! It was hard to capture the true color of this polish but I think it is a neon purple.

I stopped in Big Lots this weekend and I wanted to share what I picked up. Big Lots always has new and different items in stock so I like to go there alot. Here is what i bought. Everything purchased in cruelty free.

I also picked up some masks and scrubs from Walmart as well as 3 bottles of nail polish.
The Freeman masks and scrubs in order from left to right are Exfoliating Scrub Pink Grapefruit, Detoxifying Mask Chocolate and Strawberry, Clay Mask Mint and Lemon, Anti-Stress Mask Dead Sea Minerals, Creamy Scrub Apricot, Peel Off Mask Cucumber, Hydration Mask Goji Berry, and Enzyme Mask Pineapple. My current favorite skincare product is the Yes To Tomatoes Clear Skin Daily Balancing Moisturizer. I have been using it for the past 2 months and I love the way it keeps my skin hydrated but not greasy. I purchased my first bottle from Walmart for $15 but I lucked up and found two bottles at Ross for $3 each!!

Review: The Body Shop Raspberry Shower Gel and Body Lotion

You all probably know by now that I am a FREQUENT TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Ross bargain shopper. It's where I find most of my beauty products as well as clothes and shoes. While browsing the beauty section at TJ Maxx i saw a few Body Shop products on clearance for $2. I picked up the Raspberry Shower Gel and the Raspberry Puree Body Lotion.

The smell of the shower gel is very strong, it smells exactly like raspberries. The smell is a little too strong for me. It even has raspberry seeds in the gel. I like to use the shower gel when I am shaving my legs. The body lotion has a lighter scent but it also smells exactly like raspberries. Both the gel and lotion are very moisturizing and are cruelty free. I like them both for being so moisturizing but the smell is too much for me and I will not be repurchasing the raspberry scent again, maybe a different scent. Have any of you tried any other scents of the shower gels and body lotions from the body shop? Enjoy.

Straight Hair and My Anniversary

I went to the hair salon on July 13th, which was also my 6 year anniversary with my boyfriend. I got my hair straightened and trimmed. I have read and seen on other natural hair blogs about girls getting their hair trimmed while its still curly. Do a lot of naturals do that? I don't think that you can see clearly what needs to be trimmed off while its curly. I love my hair! It's so soft and much easier to manage aside from ducking and dodging the rain! I had curls in my hair but even though my hair is naturally curly, it won't hold a curl very well when it is straight.

Here is a picture of the flowers and card that my boyfriend gave me for the 6 year mark.

I' not really to big on music. I listen to it in my car but not much more than that.I like Rap and Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Pop Country, Classical, and just anything that sounds good. I like the song, Click Flash by Ciara. It's in the first Sex and the City movie when Carrie had her fashion shoot with Vogue magazine for being the last single girl. I fell in love with this song since that movie!

Mini Dollar Tree Haul: New L.A. Colors Nail Polish

While browsing through dollar tree, I saw new nail polish form L.A. Colors. I am excited about all these colors, especially the pewter gray polish. The first two are Tropical Storm and Sparkling Diamonds. Tropical Storm is similar to Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Gunmetal, however Tropical Storm has more gray sliverish undertones and Gunmetal has more blue undertones. Sparkling Diamonds is a silver chunky glitter.

I also have a neon pink called Lightning and a blue glitter called Aqua Crystals.

The last three colors are Bright Pink, Jewel Tone, and Fun In The Sun. Bright Pink and Fun in the Sun are typical cream polishes and Jewel Tone is similar to Sinful Colors in Frenzy.

I love L.A. Colors so much because they are cruelty free, i love the color variety, and they are only $1! You can't beat that! Enjoy.

L.A. Colors in Static Electricity (dark Blue) and Cosmetic Arts (light blue). I like the way this manicure turned out. However the consistency of the Cosmetic Arts polish sucks! It painted on my nails like white out, it was so thick, I could barely spread it on my nail. I doubt I will ever use this color again. Enjoy!

I have been wearing my hair curly for a while and I am bored with it. I have a hair appointment next week and I am getting my hair flat ironed and trimmed. I think I want to cut my hair again. This is how I want it cut if I decide to go through with it.

But If I decide to keep my hair long, I think I want bangs. I have never had bangs before so I don't know how much it would bother me to have hair in my face all the time. But I think that bangs can make any lazy day ponytail look good.

Dollar Tree Haul: L.A. Colors Eyeshadow

The 3 pan and 10 pan eyeshadow palettes finally came to my dollar tree. $11 well spent. The colors are very pigmented.

The 10 pan palettes are Adore, Splash, Brights, Dusk Til Dawn, and Parfait.

The 3 pan palettes are Moon Rock, Sand Dune, Lemon Grove, Boardwalk, Shooting Star, and Tiki Punch. I also picked up Grassy Knoll (3 pan) and Warm (10 pan).
I am very excited to try them out. If only I could wake up in time to put on makeup for work! Enjoy.

I'm not to impressed with this mani this week. I used Sinful Colors in Let's Meet (yellow) and Sinful Colors in Cream Pink which I had no idea was a matte color. I am not a fan of matte polish. On my nail, the Cream Pink looks like a neon pink, but in the bottle it looks like a purpleish pink. Maybe the base coat that I used made the color change a bit. Enjoy!

I have combination skin and my t-zone gets very oily throughout the day. I prefer to use powder foundation and I use Tarte Provocateur Powder in Medium. It is a pressed mineral powder with SPF 8. I purchased this from Ulta for $30. It matches my complexion sooo well and Tarte cosmetics are soo good for your skin! I plan on purchasing more Tarte products, their tinted moisturizer, face primer, finishing powder, and a few other things. I love this powder and you should check out this brand as well!

Mini Haul: PETA Catalog

I was so excited today when I got home and saw a package in front of my door! I ordered t-shirts from the PETA catalog. I ordered the Women's mystery t-shirt grab bag for $20 and it came with 3 randomly picked fitted baby tees.Normally PETA t-shirts start at about $20 each so $20 for 3 shirts is a great deal. They are all so cute and I can't wait to wear them and spread the PETA message. Here is what I got.

A month or two ago the PETA catalog had shirts on sale. I picked up a 'Meat Sucks' shirt in a size 2x because it was $5.99. I thought that maybe i could lounge around the house in the shirt or cut it to fit me. But then I had an idea to cut the shirt and sew it onto a jacket. So I purchased a jacket from Walmart and had my mom sew the cut out portion to the back of a jacket. I love the way it turned out. She left the edges of the shirt frayed and used a zig zag stitch and bright green thread.

I'm very excited about my new PETA gear. Maybe I will inspire some change and new ways of thinking in this stubborn country town. Enjoy!

So this is going to be a boring post. There is nothing spectacular about my favorite and only brush. I have had the same brush for about 10+ years. The only time I use it is when I am slicking my hair back for a pony tail or a bun and when I wrap my hair when its straight. Nothing special about this brush, just a plain bristle brush!

My favorite eyeliner is Revlon Beyond Natural eyeliner in Dark Brown. I rarely wear eyeliner and if I do wear it I rarely ever wear black. I feel like black eyeliner is too harsh for me especially on a day when I am not wearing eyeshadow. I purchased this eyeliner from my beloved Dollar Tree for $1. This eyeliner has a little shimmer in it and is very pigmented. I haven't seen this eyeliner in the Dollar Tree since I bought it, but maybe it can be found in Walmart or a drugstore. Enjoy!
